# Finding experts > Browse the Marketplace, search for recruiters who have made similar hires, and book free intro calls with experts. ## Overview Click **View Marketplace** in the left sidebar to find experts and book free intro calls with them. The page lists experts by type, with extra search tools for recruiting. View a profile to see an expert's work history, then click **Schedule now** to book a call, or send a message. Start with [Getting started with Marketplace](https://docs.dover.com/getting-started/getting-started-with-marketplace/). --- ## Choose an expert type The first time you open **View Marketplace**, Dover asks **What do you need help with?**. Choose **Recruiting**, **HR**, **Legal**, **Marketing**, **Customer Success**, or **Operations**. To switch, click another expert type at the top of the page. Dover remembers your last choice and opens that list the next time you visit. --- ## See how the Marketplace works Click **How it works** at the top of the page for a three-step summary: explore the Marketplace, message or schedule free calls, and receive offers to build your team. Click **Watch the 2-min tour** in that window to see a short video. --- ## What you see when you access the Marketplace You can browse the Marketplace before you unlock it, but some details are hidden. Click **Unlock marketplace access** when Dover shows **Ready to view the experts?** to see everything. Dover shows recruiters who have already made similar hires on Dover. 1. Click **View Marketplace** and choose **Recruiting**. 2. Under **Who are you hiring?**, describe the role in your own words and add anything that matters, such as company stage, location, or industry. For example: "a founding engineer for a seed-stage AI startup in New York". You can also click one of the role buttons under **Your roles** (your open jobs) or **Popular on Dover**. 3. Click **Search**. 4. Review the results. Each recruiter shows the companies they have worked with and their recent hires, so you can see why they fit. If you mentioned a company stage, location, or investor, recruiters who made a hire that way are ranked higher. 5. To narrow the results, edit your search and add more detail. 6. Click **Schedule now** on a recruiter to book a free intro call. See [Book intro calls with experts](#book-intro-calls-with-experts). ### See every recruiter hire and its cost Click **View all hires & costs** next to **Who are you hiring?** to open a table of real hires made by recruiters on Dover. Use it to compare recruiters by the hires they have made. To search from there, click **Find recruiters for a role like these**. ### Ask recruiters to come to you If you aren't sure who to pick, click **Share your criteria**. It appears under your search results, or at the top of **Or browse every recruiter** if you haven't searched yet. 1. In **What do you need help with?**, describe the role, the scope, and why it's hard to fill. 2. In **About your company**, add what you do, your stage, and your website. 3. Click **Notify recruiters**. Recruiters send you custom offers. You review them on the **My Experts** page. See [Managing experts](https://docs.dover.com/recruiter-marketplace/managing-experts/). Both fields are required. --- ## Browse every recruiter Scroll to **Or browse every recruiter** to look through all recruiters, with or without a search. Use the filters above the list: | Filter | What it does | | --- | --- | | **Role** | Show recruiters who hire for a role, such as Engineering or Product. | | **Location** | Show recruiters who hire in a place, such as New York, NY or Western Europe. | | **Industry** | Show recruiters with experience in an industry. | | **Availability** | Show recruiters with at least 10, 20, or 30 hours available per week. | | **Pricing** | Show recruiters who work hourly, on retainer, or on contingency (pay-per-hire). | | **Reviews** | Show recruiters with 2 or more founder reviews, or with fewer than 2. | | **Rate** | Show recruiters whose rate is negotiable or not negotiable. | | **Sort** | Order the list by soonest start, star rating, or hourly rate. | To book a free call, click **Schedule now** on a recruiter. It opens their calendar. If the recruiter has no calendar link, it opens their profile instead. --- ## Browse other experts Choose **HR**, **Legal**, **Marketing**, **Customer Success**, or **Operations** to see experts in that area. These lists have the **Availability** filter and the **Sort** menu. The cards and profiles work the same way as for recruiters. --- ## View profiles Click an expert to view their profile. A profile shows: - Their rating, years of experience, and reviews from founders - Their work history and recent hires - The kinds of engagements they take, the industries they specialize in, and the services they offer - Their rate, and whether it's negotiable Click **Schedule Now** to book an intro call, or **Message** to write to the expert. --- ## Book intro calls with experts Intro calls are free, and you can book as many as you like. Most companies talk to about four experts before choosing one. 1. Click **Schedule now** on an expert's card, or **Schedule Now** on their profile. Dover opens the expert's calendar. If the expert has no calendar link, it opens their profile instead. 2. Choose a time and book the call. 3. Join the call and talk about what you need and how you would work together. To prepare, click **How it works** at the top of **View Marketplace** for ideas on what to cover, such as the role, your budget, and the pay structure (hourly, retainer, or pay-per-hire). You can also read about the Marketplace on the [Dover website](https://www.dover.com). Your calls appear on the **My Experts** page, where you can make or review an offer after you talk. Names, rates, and founder reviews are shown after you unlock the Marketplace. Until then, you can see what each matching recruiter has hired for. Yes. Type any role under **Who are you hiring?**, or click a role under **Your roles** or **Popular on Dover**. ### What's the difference between searching and browsing? Searching under **Who are you hiring?** ranks recruiters by how closely their past hires match the role you describe. Browsing under **Or browse every recruiter** lists everyone, and you narrow it with filters. ### How do I switch to a different type of expert? Click another expert type at the top of **View Marketplace**. Your choice is saved for your next visit. ### How many experts should I talk to? As many as you like. Calls are free, and most companies talk to about four experts before choosing one. ### Where do I go after I book a call? Open **My Experts** in the left sidebar to see your calls, make or review an offer, and manage the experts you work with.
