# Interviewing candidates

> Prepare with the resume and AI suggested questions, take notes against your feedback form, and submit your scorecard.

## Overview

The interview page is where an interviewer prepares for a candidate, takes notes against the interview's questions, and submits their feedback. Open it by clicking **Add feedback** on the candidate's profile. It shows the candidate's details, their resume, and the feedback form assigned to the interview stage. To set up the form, see [Interview feedback forms](https://docs.dover.com/scheduling-interviewing/interview-feedback-forms/).

## Prepare for the interview

- **Candidate details:** The header shows who you're interviewing. Click the arrow to show or hide more of their details.
- **Resume:** Click the resume button to open the candidate's resume beside the form. The button is turned off if the candidate has no resume.
- **AI suggested questions:** Click **View AI suggested questions** to see questions based on the candidate's background. Each one shows **Why ask?** to explain the reason. Select the questions you want and add them to your interview rubric.

---

## During the interview

Keep the form open and answer each question as you go.

To record and transcribe the interview, turn on **AI Notetaker** for it. It joins the call, records it, and adds AI notes under yours. See [Dover AI Notetaker](https://docs.dover.com/scheduling-interviewing/dover-ai-notetaker/).

## After the interview

### Fill in your feedback

You can complete the form yourself, or let AI do it from your notes or the call transcript.

1. Click **AI feedback forms** (or **View notes** if you already added some).
2. Paste in your notes, or insert the interview transcript into the notes field. You can edit it before you submit.
3. Submit the AI form, and Dover fills in each question.

Submitting overwrites any responses you already entered, so review the answers afterward.

### Give a rating and submit

1. Choose an **Overall Rating** on the scale set for the form.
2. Review your answers, and click **Submit feedback**.

You can download your feedback as a PDF with **Download**. To remove a feedback form and score, use **Delete feedback form**. Only members whose company permission set has every **Admin** permission, such as the built-in **Admin** set, can delete submitted feedback, and it can't be undone.

### Who can submit feedback?

Questions come from the feedback form assigned to the stage. You can add AI suggested questions to your rubric for an interview.
