# Agency portal

> Invite recruiting agencies to submit candidates for your jobs and track their results in Dover.

## Overview

Invite a recruiting agency to Dover, choose the jobs it can work on, and see every candidate it submits. Agencies sign in to the referral portal to submit candidates, and you track them on each job's **Agencies** tab.

---

## Invite an agency

You invite an agency recruiter from **Settings → Referrers & Agencies**. You can also start from a job, which fills in the job for you.

1. Open a job and click the **Agencies** tab.
2. Click **+ Agency**. Dover opens **Settings → Referrers & Agencies** with the **Invite a referrer or agency** window open and the **Agency** tab selected.
3. Enter the recruiter's **Email**. This field is required.
4. Optionally, enter the recruiter's **Name**.
5. In **Agency**, select an agency you've already added, or type a new agency name. This field is required.
6. In **Jobs**, select every job the recruiter can submit candidates to. This field is required.
7. Click **Send invite**.

Dover emails the recruiter a link to the referral portal and shows **Invite sent!**. Click **Done** to close the window.

:::note
Add an agency to each job it should work on. A recruiter only sees the jobs you selected for them.

## What agencies do in the referral portal

Agency recruiters sign in to the referral portal with the email address the invite was sent to. If they don't have a Dover account yet, they create one from the sign-in page.

In the portal, an agency recruiter can:

- See every job you shared with them, with counts of **Submitted**, **Active**, and **Hired** candidates.
- Click **+ Candidate** next to a job to submit a candidate.
- Click a job to see the candidates they submitted and each candidate's **Current stage**.
- Click the copy link icon next to a job to copy a referral link that credits candidates to the agency.

The **Submit a candidate** window has these fields:

| Field | Required |
| --- | --- |
| **Job** | Yes |
| **Resume** (Dover fills in the fields below from the resume) | No |
| **First name** | Yes |
| **Last name** | Yes |
| **Email** | Yes |
| **LinkedIn URL** | No |
| **Why are they a good fit?** | No |

When the recruiter clicks **Submit**, Dover adds the candidate to the job and shows **Candidate submitted!**.

Agency recruiters can't see the rest of your Dover account. To give someone full access, add them as a member in [Members](https://docs.dover.com/settings/members/).

### Preview what agencies see

To see the portal before you invite anyone, go to **Settings → Referrers & Agencies** and click **Preview portal**. The preview shows sample jobs and candidates.

---

## Track agency candidates

Open a job and click the **Agencies** tab. Each row shows the agency, the recruiter, and counts of **Submitted**, **Active**, and **Hires** candidates. If a recruiter hasn't signed in yet, the row says **Invite pending** or **No portal account**.

Click a row to see the candidates that recruiter submitted.

### Turn off an agency for a job

1. Open the job and click the **Agencies** tab.
2. Click the three dots on the recruiter's row.
3. Click **Deactivate** and confirm.

The recruiter can no longer submit candidates to that job. To turn it back on, click the three dots and then **Activate**.

---

## Manage agencies across all jobs

**Settings → Referrers & Agencies** lists every referrer and agency recruiter on your account with their **Type**, **Status**, and number of **Jobs**. The status is **Active**, **Invited**, or **No account**.

- To change which jobs a recruiter can work on, click the recruiter's row. Use the **Active** and **Deactivated** tabs, turn a job on or off, or select a job under **Add job** and click **Add**.
- To send an invite again, click the three dots on the row and click **Resend invite**. For a recruiter with **No account** status, the option is **Send invite**.
- To copy the portal link, click the three dots and then **Copy portal link**.
- To remove access to all jobs at once, click the three dots, click **Deactivate all jobs**, and confirm. You can turn jobs back on later.

## Frequently asked questions

### How does adding agencies help my hiring process?

You see every agency candidate in Dover, next to your other candidates. You can send emails and schedule interviews from Dover, and you can compare the number of submitted, active, and hired candidates for each agency recruiter.

### Are agencies set up for each job?

Yes. When you invite a recruiter, you choose the jobs they can submit to, and you can add or remove jobs later in **Settings → Referrers & Agencies**.

### What happens to the old agency submission links?

The old links no longer open a submission form. They show a page that asks the recruiter to sign in to the referral portal with the email address the invite was sent to. Recruiters you already added keep their candidates.

### Can an agency see my whole Dover account?

No. An agency recruiter can only see the jobs you shared with them and the candidates they submitted. Dover gives full access only to members you add on the members page.

### Where can I see pricing and plan details?

Which plan includes agency invites is on [dover.com/pricing](https://www.dover.com/pricing). If you see an upgrade message when you click **Send invite**, your current plan doesn't include agency invites.

### Where can I get more help?

Ask the Dover Support team on the [Contact Support](https://app.dover.com/support/messages) page (**Get Help → Contact Support** in the app).
