# Dover Sourcing Extension

> Source candidates directly from LinkedIn profiles with the Dover Chrome extension, then email them from Dover.

## Overview

The Dover Sourcing Extension is a Chrome extension that lets you source a candidate from their LinkedIn profile into one of your jobs and email them without leaving the page. ## Install the extension

1. Install the Dover Sourcing Extension from the [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/knjnhpcmdnakigmnekianbpmhdfkejom) by clicking **Add to Chrome**. You can also open it from a job's **Sourcing** tab, where the **Sourcing extension** card shows **Install**, or **Open** once it's installed.
2. Open [My extensions](chrome://extensions/), search for the Dover Sourcing Extension, and click **Details**.
3. Under **Site access**, turn on **automatically access on the following sites** and **allow access to file URL**.
4. Pin the Dover Sourcing Extension to your browser.

### Get your job and campaign ready

You need a Dover account, a job, and an active outreach campaign before you source.

1. [Log in or sign up](https://docs.dover.com/getting-started/logging-in/) to Dover.
2. Add a job. See [How to add a job](https://docs.dover.com/getting-started/how-to-add-a-job/).
3. Open the job's **Sourcing** tab, create an outreach campaign, and turn it on. Make sure the campaign's sender has connected an email address. See [Sourcing candidates](https://docs.dover.com/sourcing-and-outreach/sourcing-candidates/).

## Source from LinkedIn

1. In Chrome, open a candidate's LinkedIn profile.
2. Click the pinned **Dover** extension.
3. Click **More** under the candidate's profile.
4. Click **Save to PDF**.
5. Choose a **Job** and an **Email Campaign**.
6. Review and edit the email to the candidate, and click **Send Outreach**.

Dover emails the candidate and adds them to the job's **Leads** tab.

## Frequently asked questions

### What if Dover can't find the candidate's email?

You can't source that candidate through Dover. Reach out on LinkedIn or another way. The extension tells you whether an email address is available.

### Can I source someone who is already in Dover?

No. If a candidate has already been contacted or is in your ATS, find them in your candidates list instead.

### What if the outreach failed?

Dover couldn't reach the candidate this time. Contact them on LinkedIn or another way.

### Where does a candidate go after I send outreach?

Dover emails the candidate to see if they're interested, and they appear on the job's **Leads** tab.

### Why can't I see the whole email address?

For privacy, the extension may not show a candidate's full email address.
