Share a job on social media, including LinkedIn, X, and Facebook, or by email, from the Job Boards tab.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Share a job on social media to bring in more applicants. Post the job’s application page to LinkedIn, X, or Facebook, send it by email, or copy the link to share anywhere else. Open a job, go to the Job Boards tab, and click Share job.
Share a job on social media
Section titled “Share a job on social media”The Share job button sits at the top right of the Job Boards tab, next to the Job Boards heading.
- Open the job you want to share.
- Click the Job Boards tab.
- Click Share job. The Share this job panel opens with the job’s link and a button for each way to share.
- Choose how to share the job, such as LinkedIn, X, Facebook, or email. The options are described in the next section.
Social media and email sharing options
Section titled “Social media and email sharing options”Every option shares the same link: the job’s application page, where candidates read the job description and apply.

| Copy | Dover copies the link to your clipboard and the button changes to Copied. Paste the link anywhere, such as Slack or a text message. |

| Facebook opens in a new tab with the link ready to share. Facebook builds the preview from the job’s application page. | |

You can edit every draft before you post or send it. Dover never posts or sends anything for you.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Can I share a private job?
Section titled “Can I share a private job?”No. The Job Boards tab shows a message instead of the Share job button for private jobs. To share the job, change its privacy setting to Visible in the job’s settings.
Which link does Share job share?
Section titled “Which link does Share job share?”Share job shares the job’s application page, the same page candidates reach from your careers page. Candidates who open the link can read the job description and apply.
Can I change the message in a LinkedIn, X, or email draft?
Section titled “Can I change the message in a LinkedIn, X, or email draft?”Yes. Each draft opens in LinkedIn, X, or your email app before anything is posted or sent, so you can edit the message first.
Does sharing a job on social media post it to job boards?
Section titled “Does sharing a job on social media post it to job boards?”No. Share job only shares the job’s link with people you choose, on social media or by email. To post the job on job boards such as LinkedIn and Indeed, see Managing job boards.
