Notes allow you to share insights and communicate with your team about candidates. All notes are visible to everyone in your company.

Adding a note

1. In the Dover App, click Search from the left sidebar menu
2. Search for and select a candidate
3. Under the candidate card, click Add a note
4. Write your message
5. To tag someone, type @ followed by their name
   • If the person isn’t listed, click Add user and enter their work email
6. Click Add to save your note

Tagged team members will receive an email notification.

Note: For interview-specific feedback, please use Interview Feedback Forms instead of notes.

Managing existing notes

To edit a note:

1. Click More options (…) next to a note
2. Select Edit
3. Make your changes and save

To delete a note:

1. Click More options (…) next to a note
2. Select Delete

To pin a note:

1. Click More options (…) next to a note
2. Select Pin
3. To unpin a note, click … and select Un-Pin

Viewing candidate notes

When tagged in a note:

1. Click View candidate in the email notification
2. Select the Notes tab to see all notes about the candidate
3. To respond, click Add a note and tag relevant team members

Tracking Your @Mentions

1. Navigate to Review in the Dover App
2. View all tagged messages for specific jobs
3. To reply, click Reply followed by Add a note
4. Mark notes as complete using the Complete button

Who can see my notes?

Notes are visible to anyone from your company who logs into Dover.

Should I use notes for interview feedback?

No, please use Dover’s Interview Feedback Forms for sharing interview evaluations.

How do I know if someone has responded to my note?

When someone tags you in a note, you’ll receive an email notification with their message.
